Sage evolves its legacy CRM to support operation growth with Objective Squads

The former SAGE, now known as ao³, a global leader in cloud management software, present in 23 countries, has evolved its legacy CRM to support the growth of its operation in Brazil.

Operating in Brazil since 2012, the company has over 100,000 customers and provides technology to help businesses of all sizes, from startups and scale-ups to large enterprises, manage everything they need, from finances to people.

In the context of acquiring companies and constant growth, the need to improve the performance of the current CRM – a legacy system designed to serve a smaller business and needing adaptation to meet the strong growth of the Sage customer base in Brazil – was identified.

Sage found in Objective a partner to meet the new demands for development and implementation of improvements in the CRM, thus ensuring effective support for the Brazilian operation.

Project Stages

Phase 1

In this initial phase, Objective acted as a technical consultancy in scoping, requirements gathering, and creating a comprehensive architectural diagnosis of the CRM, identifying and measuring efforts for all stages of the project.

“In scoping and architectural diagnosis, Objective demonstrated a complete understanding of the environment, effort, cost, and implementation time, which was a decisive factor for the success of the project. New demands arose during implementation, and we were promptly served, reaffirming the partnership and commitment of the company,” says Davisom Trevizan, Application Manager at Sage.

Phase 2

Once the entire project scope was mapped out, Objective worked on developing and implementing the identified and prioritized improvements by SAGE, this time with more critical implementation routines for a new persistence layer.

Additional improvement points were identified, as well as specific actions to mitigate interferences from external systems that seasonally impact system performance.

The performance results were significant, favoring the user area in their day-to-day work.

“The flexibility of Objective and the expertise of the professionals in the SAGE environment were factors that added value throughout the project implementation,” Davisom Trevizan, Application Manager at Sage, comments.
